It Rained! It Poured!
On May 10th, we were forced to postpone the 2003 Donley
Brick Clover Farm Golf Classic due to inclement weather. A new date has been set for Saturday, September 2oth.
A special thank you to all who came to show their support on the
1oth. Although this was a
huge disappointment for all those who worked so hard to make the event
possible and for the golfer who came to brave the weather, the September
event is shaping up to be even better.
We will begin the day at
Village Green Golf Club- Hickory, Pennsylvania, at 12 noon with golfer
registration and a light snack. There
will be a 12:30 Putting Contest, hosted by Phillips & Faldowski
Attorneys at Law followed by a 1pm shot gun start.
During the tournament the golfers will be able to participate in
additional contests such as a Hole-In-One sponsored by CAM Financial and
Washington Ford, and The Longest Drive Contest Sponsored by Key 4
Systems. Immediately
following the tournament there will be a Dinner Awards Gala with a
Silent Auction.
All of the individuals who registered for the May 10th
event will automatically be registered for the September tournament and
gala. However, registration
is still open. We are still
looking for approximately 60 golfers to fulfill our commitment with
Village Green. If you would
like to register please visit our website or complete the enclosed
registration form.

2003Annual Giving Campaign
In March of 2002 we launched
our fundraising campaign with a mailing to friends and family of Danny
O’Leary. Mailing to just
over 100 people we raised over $7000.
This year with almost 300 Friends of O’Leary’s Clover Farm we
hope to raise $10,000. Although
our 2nd Annual Campaign will formally be launched in
September we have already received almost $3000 in donations.

Print Sale Continues
Prints of Immaculate Conception Church by Daniel
S. O’Leary are still available for sale. The sale of the prints has raised over $500 to date.
A limited number of prints are still available.
If you would like to order a print please send a $75 donation
plus $15 shipping to O’Leary’s Clover Farm, 46803 Sweet Birch
Terrace, Sterling, Virginia, 20164. Prints are also available for sale at Antiques Downtown (88
So. Main Street, Washington, Pennsylvania).
Christmas Basket Sale
This winter O’Leary’s Clover Farm will hold a Longaberger Basket
Fundraiser. Catalogs will
be mailed in early October in order for the items to be delivered in
time for Christmas. A
portion of all sales will benefit O’Leary’s Clover Farm.
Looking for Land
The Board of Directors continues to look for land upon which we will
build O’Leary’s Clover Farm. 2002’s
grant search was unsuccessful in raising enough capital to purchase the
land, therefore we are increasingly more dependent on our fundraising
efforts.
The money raised from our 2003 golf events and the upcoming annual
giving campaign this September will be used to make a down payment on
land and hopefully hire a part time employee dedicated to furthering our
fundraising efforts.
We are currently exploring the possibility of purchasing land just
across the Virginia border in Berkeley, West Virginia. This location
will be in good proximity to both our Virginia and Pennsylvania bases.
